What happens when inclement weather occurs?

Soccer practices and games will be held in light rain. In case of heavy rain, practices and games may be cancelled when field conditions pose a hazard to the players. Fields may be closed after heavy rains by the Martin County Parks and Recreation Department or if a Jensen Beach Soccer Club board member, coach or trainer coach deems the fields unplayable. When fields are saturated after rainstorms, it poses a dangerous playing condition for the players as well as causing damage to the fields. We understand that players want to play, but the safety of the children and the preservation of the playing surfaces are our main concern.
When JBSC is notified by the county Parks and Recreation Department, we do our best to inform players and their families that the fields are closed as soon as possible. Unfortunately, notification may not be received until a practice time arrives and players are at the field.
