2010 JAMBOREE
Georgeous weather was the icing on the cake for JBSC's Jamboree held this past Saturday, February 21st. All of the recreational teams received their much-deserved medals! Club families enjoyed music presented by The 'YO' Show while enjoying burgers and dogs donated by Center of the Plate Meats. All of the kids played on a variety of inflatables, dunked their coaches in the dunk tank and cheered on as our esteemed coaches gave their own soccer skills a test during our annual coaches game!! A fantastic time was had by all - a HUGE THANK-YOU to our Jamboree sponsors!!!

MEANINGFUL COACHING
The JBSC thanks and appreciates all of our coaches and the time they dedicate to our youth. We're especially proud of the initiative shown as most took advantage of the many coaching education opportunities presented by the club this past fall. For further information regarding responsible coaching practices, please visit the US Youth Soccer website. You'll find a wealth of valuable information.

LIGHTNING !!
There is a lightning alarm at JBHS in the corner up by the announcer's box in the football stands. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION TO IT! When lightning is detected, there is one long blast followed by 30 minutes of a flashing white strobe light. Provided no additional lightning is detected, an "all clear" signal of 3 long blasts will let you know it's safe to return to the field. It is the policy of JBSC (and Martin County Parks & Rec) that if the lightning alarm sounds, EVERYONE LEAVES THE FIELD IMMEDIATELY and seeks cover, preferably in a car. No one should return to the field until the "all clear" signal is heard and the strobe is no longer flashing. There are many in this club who have witnessed the tragic effect of a rogue lightning strike. BE SAFE!
