If your child loves soccer then the competitive program will allow him or her to play almost year round instead of the three month recreational season. In addition, competitive teams tend to stay together on the same team year after year which adds a sense of purpose and allows for the establishment of continued friendship.
Unlike the recreational program, players are not guaranteed a minimum playing time, though coaches are encouraged to embrace an equitable rotation policy. Each team determines where and when they play. Teams raise their own operating funds, and may require additional financial commitments from the players.
